Blue Water Day Trip- 19 July, 2020.
Before Covid-19 restrictions and shut downs, we ran a competition for someone doing it tough that needed a day fishing in the boat. We were inundated with nominations for some very worthy people and a fellow named Justin George was drawn from the hat. He couldn’t go out that weekend and then Covid restrictions prevented the trip occur in the immediate future.
But today we caught up with Justin and took him on a blue water fishing trip as a private fishing trip, not a charter. We headed out to Fenton Patches, somewhere we had not been before and decided to give it a crack.
Justin caught his very first Coral Trout, and a nice sized one it was too. He also caught a lovely Tusk Fish as well.
Di caught her very first Golden Travelly that gave her a good workout pulling it up from 30m down.
Brian caught a few different varieties but caught a cracker of a Tusk Fish, which was kept as a table fish.
The wind was up and down but didn’t really hinder the day. It was a great day out.
Congratulations to Justin on finally getting his day on the water with Estuary Escapes and it was a joy sharing the day with you
