Billabong Fishing Escape

Get a real taste of the Northern Territory – Barra, Crocodiles, Birdlife and simply breathtaking scenery. The NT has many billabong and inland water ways within easy access of Darwin. If you are thinking of a day tour or getting away for a few days these billabongs offer great opportunities for once in a lifetime fishing experiences. On the extended Billabong Barramundi Fishing Escapes, you will stay at lodge/motel accommodation at night, whilst fishing a different location from one day to the next. Our Day Billabong Barramundi Fishing Escapes, are at a billabong that is easily accessible from Darwin. When fishing these areas, you will also get to experience some of the Northern Territory’s most scenic locations. The billabongs are lily and pandanus lined. They are home to Barramundi, Saratoga, Sooty Grunter and Tarpon. With the added bonus of exceptional scenery and wildlife, all adding to what will be a most memorable Escape.

Duration : 1 to 6 Day billabong Escapes

Locations : Corroboree Billabong, Shady Camp Billabong, Mary River Bridge Lagoon, Hardy’s Lagoon.

Departure : By arrangement from May to November

Inclusions:

• Pick up and return to your accommodation in the Darwin area.
• Travel to and from the fishing location is in an air-conditioned, modern 4WD Toyota Prado Station Wagon, which is a licenced Tourist Vehicle. The fishing guide holds a current H endorsement on their driver’s licence.
• Morning tea, lunch (Full Day Escapes only) and chilled water supplied. A 95L fridge is provided on the boat.
• Extended Escapes – All accommodation, meals and refreshments provided for duration of trip (excluding alcohol)
• Qualified and Experienced guide, Owner Operator.
• Quality tackle Samurai Run Off Series Rods with Quantum Smoke Series 3 Performance Tuned Bait Casters, Diawa B&G 4000 spinning Reels and Shimano Vanford 3000 spinning reels on Black Hole AMPED2 rods.  All rods and reels are supplied on a replace if lost or damaged basis
• (Fly fishing tackle is not included)
• If clients wish to bring alcohol, there is some space in the fridge to accommodate.
• All fish surplus to needs are released.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy – If you are unable to travel to the NT due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, you will be able to rebook for another time, or receive a full refund.
